Our WHY:

We help schools turn technology from an expense into an investment in learning, innovation, and growth.

You need all five heads looking in different directions, but working toward the same mission!

Mission: TIS helps schools make technology work for learning by providing a holistic approach to technology integration.

Vision: A future where every school, micro-school, and home-school has the technology, capacity, and resources to create transformative learning journeys for every child.

Curriculum Resources

We believe technology integration is interconnected. Unlike traditional CS + X methods, we recognize the importance of putting the subject area first. This approach provides authentic learning experiences that are more meaningful and engaging.

Math in Action: K-5

A K-5 scope and sequence that is aligned to Operational and Algebraic Thinking. Intentional, progressionally appropriate alignment of CT and CS skills helps students build algorithms that show mathematical thinking in action!

No Fear Coding: Book Study

An ISTE+ASCD (International  Society for Transforming Education) published book, No Fear Coding: Computational Thinking Across the K-5 Curriculum. This book has been used nationally and internationally as a book study for teachers and preservice programs to inspire and guide the integration of computational thinking and computer science into K-5 core content areas.

Data Moves

Learning to work with data is an essential skill for all students, and many states are moving to include data science standards within K-12 mathematics. Data moves such as grouping, sorting, and filtering are essential skills that students must learn in K-5.

No Fear Coding Book Study Groups & Professional Development

Quote on learning to code alongside reading, promoting the book 'No Fear Coding' by Heidi Williams.

No Fear Coding

I am humbled and honored that so many school districts and universities across the world have utilized the content of ISTE's No Fear Coding: Computational Thinking Across the K-5 Curriculum. Inspiring pre-service, classroom, and university methods course teachers to support integration of CS/CT INTO the K-5 Curriculum!
