Computational Thinking is our foundation!

Computational Thinking is our foundation!Computational Thinking is our foundation!Computational Thinking is our foundation!

Algebraic thinking is algorithmic thinking in action!

Computational thinking for all students belongs in math! To realize the full potential and impact of computational thinking, we must teach it to all students. Estonia recognized that sequences, events, loops, conditionals, and variables are building blocks that align directly with math standards. 'Math in Action' is not a CS + Math  curriculum, but a forward-thinking Math + CS curriculum.

Is it worth the investment of time?

'Math in Action' Videos

When the hands go up...

We see lots of fist pumps and hands going in the air when student create algorithms that show their algebraic thinking in action!

Failing forward...

Through the process of debugging, iteration, and a lot of perseverance, student thinking is made visible. You can see a lot of questions being asked, as well as engagement and excitement!

The Gwen bug...

A fourth-grade student discovers a bug in Kai's Education's KaiBot coding cards. The primary programmer, Bruce, listens to her and then names the bug “The Gwen Bug." The audio is a bit hard to hear, but the smile on Gwen's face is priceless!
